Kilkenny self-guided tour

Kilkenny self-guided tour

Take a trip back in time down Wilpena Terrace, Kilkenny. From the stately homes of the Shearer and Downer families to the industrial forges of old Carlton. See the art of community members on a self-guided tour. Download a guide and voice recording here on the 1st of May 2017.

In 2015 the local community ran a walking tour through the streets of Kilkenny which ended at McInerney Reserve. This tour is an extension of the work completed in 2015, which was greatly assisted by the research of local historian Gino Chinca. Without Gino the memories of areas like Kilkenny would have faded. To compliment this tour the body of information will be added to this web site so people can view information on various parts of the area, as well as some of the art work put up by the local people.
